- Here is a rare species called Prakash Shetty. Born on April Fools Day,1960.I was addicted to cartooning at the age of fifteen [ 1975 ] I started my funny career with a kannada magazine called Santhosha. Then switched on to a English daily - The Times Of Deccan. Later with Mungaru daily and finally served The Week. At present Iam seriously into funny business. Spot caricaturing at parties..drawing huge cartoon murals... staff caricatures on 40ft wall...t-shirt cartoons...coloured family caricatures...Very recently Prakash Shetty PUNCH became instant hit on ETV. Dear Shetty,
I have been searching national and trans national publications for the years to track you.It is election to the 16th parliament. It was in 1986- in such an election period- Kerala witnessed a new incarnation of of caricaturing.Then you stole the whole show, till 2000 or 2001.You torpedoed the Yesudasan style. You lead the way, all followed...I am one of the million fans among the most cartoon literate state.
